The texture was nice though - soft and fluffy.
Overall the cake was well presented and the flavours came together well. However for the price we paid, very disappoined that the cream used was not 100% fresh cream. Such a shame.

We enjoyed the hojicha and pear cake very much. The intensity of the hojicha was just right and the sponge cake was nice and fluffy.
