FAQ

Our standard delivery window is:

11am - 3pm Tuesday to Thursday

10am - 2:30pm Friday to Sunday 

so expect your cake to arrive within this timeframe on the day of delivery (give or take 30 minutes). We will also be sending you via text the day before delivery before 9pm with a tracking link and 30 min delivery window

What happens if I'm not home during the allocated 30 minute delivery window?

What happens if I need the cake by noon?

We have a 24 hour cake guarantee* if you store the cake in it's original box and in the fridge overnight, that the cake will look and taste 100% as good, so consider having it delivered the day before or arrange to pick up in the morning.

*Does not apply to any cakes using fresh fruit as a main ingredient

Can I specify a delivery timeframe?

We can only accommodate specific delivery timings for catering or large functions requiring multiple cakes (fees may be applicable). Alternatively, we suggest placing a pick up order and scheduling your own UberPackage courier to pick up on your behalf.

What if I need to change the address?

Reach out via email and we will be able to change the delivery address for you without any issues before 8pm the day before delivery

 

 

How do I cancel the cake I ordered?

Send us an email at hello@getcakes.com.au for us to cancel and refund your cake. Though we'd appreciate minimum 24 hours notice, we understand that things may come up suddenly, so please feel free to reach out as soon as you can.

Do you make gluten free cakes?

Unfortunately we cannot replicate the same taste and texture with our gluten free recipe. Currently only our cheesecakes are GF.

Can I customise or modify the cake?

We are currently not accepting any custom cake orders and any modifications to menu items will depend on the kitchen's availability.

How long can I keep the cake in the fridge for?

We recommend finishing the cake within 48 hours. 

Do I need to refridgerate the cake?

Yes! Please refridgerate the cake until serving. Our cakes can be served from the fridge without bringing to room temperature.

How do I transport the cake safely while driving?

Place the cake on the floor of the car (front passenger seat floor is optimal) and drive smoothly around corners and over bumps. Do not place the cake on the car seats as they are not flat surfaces.
