FAQ

What types of cakes does ENZE offer in Sydney?

We bake chiffon cakes, including signature cream cakes, bento cakes, mini bento cakes and Basque burnt cheesecakes.

What is a chiffon cake?

A melt-in-your-mouth and silky cake with a pillow-soft bite that relies on whipped egg whites for structure. Easier to eat than conventional sponge cakes, and perfect for a guilt-free second slice.

Is chiffon cake good for people who don’t like very heavy or sweet cakes?

Yes. The base is subtle and not heavy at all, so the cream and fruit provide most of the flavour without feeling cloying.

Why do customers choose ENZE cakes?

Chiffon cakes are notoriously delicate and lots can go wrong, however, we’re a team of professional pastry chefs that specialise in the craft of chiffon cakes, chasing the perfect technique and touch.

Can a chiffon cake be a birthday cake?

Absolutely. It comes in 6″, 8″ and 10″ sizes, with an optional personalised White Chocolate Plaque to make it feel extra special.

Are ENZE cakes good for small celebrations?

Yes. Our bento cakes, mini bentos and 6″ cakes are lovely for smaller gatherings.

Do ENZE cakes work as a gift?

They do, and it’s easy — order online, we deliver it fresh, and it always lands as a lovely surprise.

What’s a bento cake?

A compact cake in a charming bento-style box, serving around 6, built on the same chiffon base as our signature range.

What’s a mini bento cake?

An individual-serve chiffon cake in a small bento box — ideal for a personal treat, for two to share, or a sweet little gift.

What’s the difference between a bento cake and a regular cake?

Bento cakes are smaller and suited to personal occasions or small groups, while our regular cakes suit larger birthdays or events.

Which ENZE cake is best for a large event or office celebration?

Our 10″ signature cake serves 22 and is a great fit. For bulk orders, just reach out to hello@enze.com.au and we’ll be happy to help.

Can I order ENZE cakes online in Sydney, and how early should I order?

Yes, right at enze.com.au. Please order before 10:00 PM for next-day delivery, or before 12:00 PM for same-day pickup.

Should I order earlier for Mother’s Day, Christmas or other special occasions?

Yes, particularly for delivery, as courier slots are limited and can close once they’re booked out. Pickup isn’t affected the same way, but it’s still worth ordering ahead so you don’t miss out.

What sizes do ENZE cakes come in?

Signature cakes come in 6″ (serves 8), 8″ (serves 14) and 10″ (serves 22). Bentos serve 6, mini bentos are individual, and cheesecakes come in Small (serves 4–6) and Large (serves 8–10).

Can I add a personalised message to my cake?

Yes — a White Chocolate Plaque (+$5) or a free gift card message can be added at checkout. A lovely way to make someone’s day.

Does ENZE offer free delivery?

Yes, on orders $85 and over. A small $9.95 flat fee applies below that.

What’s the delivery window in Sydney?

10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, seven days a week. A tracking link with a tighter window arrives at 9:00 PM the night before, so you’re not left wondering.

Can I get same-day delivery or pickup?

Same-day pickup is available before 12:00 PM. Same-day delivery depends on your suburb and order time, so please check at checkout.

How should I store my cake?

Keep it refrigerated in the original box. Most can be served straight from the fridge, no fuss needed.

How long do ENZE cakes last?

There’s a 24-hour freshness guarantee when refrigerated overnight in the original box, and most can be enjoyed for up to 48 hours. The exception is our strawberry range — anything with fresh fruit as a main ingredient is best within 24 hours for the freshest taste. We don’t recommend freezing, as it affects the taste and texture.

Are ENZE cakes halal?

Yes, all our cakes, bentos and cheesecakes are halal friendly.

What allergens do ENZE cakes contain?

Dairy, eggs and gluten, with possible traces of nuts. They’re not suitable for vegan, dairy-free or coeliac diets, so please reach out if you’re ever unsure.

Does ENZE offer gluten-free cakes?

Yes — our Basque Burnt Cheesecakes are gluten-free. Our chiffon and bento cakes do contain gluten.

Which cakes have nuts as a key ingredient?

The Pistachio Raspberry (pistachios), Chocolate Hazelnut Mini Bento (hazelnuts), and Taro Bento and Mini Bento (almond flakes). These aren’t suitable for guests with nut allergies.

How do I choose the right cake?

Think about the occasion and how light or rich you’d like it to feel. Strawberry Cream or Rose & Lychee are classic favourites, Lemon Yuzu or Blueberry Lemon are lovely if you want something citrusy, Jasmine & Mandarin is gentle and less sweet, and Chocolate Zephyr or Salted Caramel & Chocolate are perfect for the chocolate lovers.

Which cake is best for someone who doesn’t like very sweet cakes?

Jasmine & Mandarin is our most reduced-sugar option. Lemon Yuzu and the Basque burnt cheesecakes are lovely choices too.

Which ENZE cake is most popular?

Rose & Lychee, Strawberry Cream and Lemon Yuzu are consistently our most-loved flavours.

Which cake is best for chocolate lovers?

Chocolate Zephyr or Salted Caramel & Chocolate will hit the spot, and the Chocolate Hazelnut Mini Bento is a lovely smaller option too.

What’s best for a small, personal celebration or gift?

Bento cakes serve around 6, or mini bentos for an individual serve — the Strawberry Cream Bento and Rose & Lychee Bento are firm favourites.
