Was skeptical at first at trying this as most taro cakes out there are either too sweet or have a an over artificial taro flavour, but this one was spot on in balance.
My only feedback would be that the cake to cream ratio was almost 50:50, would have liked a 75:25 ratio better.
Light, creamy, and gently sweet — the taro bento cake from ENZE has a soft chiffon base with smooth taro mousse on top. The flavour is natural, not too strong, and beautifully balanced. Perfectly sized for two, it’s elegant and not heavy.
Great choice to bring when visiting friends — it looks refined, tastes delicate, and feels special without being too rich.
This cake is perfect for people who enjoy subtle flavours that aren’t so intense. The cake and cream are both light and airy.

The taro bento box cake is absolutely delicious! The sponge was incredibly soft and the taro cream was so smooth and creamy. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy it again. I wish it came in a larger size!
