Storage and serving

Best the day it's collected. If you're not eating it straight away, refrigerate in the box — good for 24 to 48 hours, but the texture is at its peak on day one. Serve cold from the fridge.

Lacking coffee flavour

The sponge and the custard for this bento box are delicious, however there wasn't any coffee flavour, and we wondered if maybe our sponge had missed the espresso brushing, as our friend who had one at the same time said their one was delicious and coffee-y.
